Description
The Flood Recovery Works project spans 7 strategic locations along the Brisbane River, focusing on revitalising and enhancing the area’s marine infrastructure. Our team undertook a comprehensive design and construction approach, which included the installation of 5 aluminium pontoons, specifically designed to cater to both general use and rowing activities. Additionally, we supplied and installed Ausfloats, providing stable and secure platforms for various water-based activities. This initiative aims to improve accessibility and enjoyment of the river while ensuring the structures meet the highest safety and quality standards.
In conjunction with the pontoons, we constructed 10 gangways, incorporating both fixed and hinged designs to facilitate easy access for users. Our work also included the installation of durable concrete abutments and the implementation of fender and restraint piles to protect the structures from potential environmental impacts. To ensure a clean slate for the new installations, we meticulously removed and disposed of existing structures, showcasing our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. This project not only restores but also enhances the functionality and appeal of the Brisbane River, contributing to its ongoing development as a vibrant community resource.
